NTD Consulting was founded by Ron Moore, a technology and cybersecurity executive with more than 20 years of experience building, scaling, and protecting technology organizations.

Ron's career has included senior technology leadership roles across financial services, payments, fintech, and digital assets. He has served in CIO, CTO, CISO, SVP, and VP-level roles, including cybersecurity and technology leadership for a Nasdaq-listed digital asset company.

Along the way, Ron has built technology and security organizations, helped companies scale, worked through acquisitions and a public-company transition, supported boards and audit committees, and managed the security, regulatory, cloud, and operational challenges that come with growth.

Today, he brings that experience to NTD Consulting, working with a small number of companies that need experienced cybersecurity and technology leadership without necessarily adding another full-time executive.

NTD Consulting is intentionally small. The goal is not to build a large consulting team and hand client work to junior staff. Ron works directly with the companies NTD supports.

How I approach the work

Judgment matters

Cybersecurity leadership involves more than following a framework. There are always tradeoffs involving risk, cost, growth, regulation, customers, and the realities of running the business. Experience matters when those decisions have to be made quickly.

Stay close to the business

Security works best when it supports the business rather than operating alongside it. The objective is to understand how the company makes money, where the real risks are, and where security can enable growth.

Keep it practical

A control that looks good on paper but cannot be operated consistently is not a good control. NTD focuses on programs that companies can actually sustain.

Communicate clearly

Boards and executives do not need another security dashboard full of technical detail. They need to understand the risk, the decision that needs to be made, and what happens next.
